Another day another blog entry...
Well I sold two fairies, the Pam Anderson Look alike from a few blogs ago and this one. The same woman bought both!

Baby needs new shoes! I hope the rest sell, because I'm really running low on water color paper and illustration board. I'll make do... I've got another cool painting that I should have finished for tomorrow's post. To tease you, the name of it is "Hair of the dog"... Ken really likes it so far. It was inspired by him, however, i dont' think that fact impressed him much but it's true.
Well I'm out of gab today, maybe I'll have more later.
Thanks to all my new tblog friends for commenting on my blog. I love to hear from ya!

The devil made me do it...

What do you think??
An artists' work is never done...
I finally finished a pastel of ladybugs that I've been working on... Its too large for my scanner so I had to do it in sections. I haven't named it yet, any ideas? I'm the worst with names...

it's actually a little brighter in real life, but you get the idea. I've got two commissions that have been looming over head since November, my goal this week is to get them finished and have the money in hand by next week! Wish me luck I'll post progess pics as they come along.
pleasant day,

One Frog, Two frogs!
We inherited the fish pond when we bought the condo, so I don't know if they were put in there intentionally or if they just made it their home. Every time I let the dog out to the patio I would hear alot of water splashing and i thought it was the few Koi kicking up a storm because they were startled. Yesterday upon closer inspection (staring for awhile) I couldn't beleive what I saw- low and behold if a little frog didn't surface!! I snuck a peak as best I could from the patio door and caught TWO frogs sunning themselves on the cement block in the pond.
Since I discovered there are acutally alot of creatures living in there... I used my garden shovel to pick out the dead fish that has been floating around for a week.
I think I'm going to go shopping for some nice accessories for the pond now and maybe even some fish food. I don't know what they've been living on... but considering one fish kicked the bucket, it's probably not healthy. I'll try and catch the frogs in action today and I'll post a pic later on. (see pic above)
My girl is sleeping so it's painting time for me...

a new piece...
What do ya think?

It may need a little tweaking, but it's for sale as we speak.

Art is a disease...
I'm planning on starting a line of art cards featuring my fairies and perhaps some cats and/or dogs. I'll try to sell them at different shops around town. There are lots of stores that like to feature the work of local artisans, so that is where I'll start. It's something to AIM for.
**Off Topic**
Have you ever blown your nose and heard a high pitched pop sound in your ear?? I did that today and now it feels like I'm deaf on that side. I'm not sure if I actually am Deaf or if it is just my imagination. My damn sinuses are causing this... damn things. Can you get your sinuses removed?? Sign me up.

Another Day in the life...
I'm sitting down after a hectic day. I was hypnotized at noon, painted the afternoon away and ate dinner at my 'out-law's' place-THEN I had to get groceries. Man, I'm pooped. I was hoping to be able to finish some work tonight but I may just hit the sack early. *S* is coming over tomorrow to paint again so I should get my rest. I don't think I've actually painted this much during the week in ages. It's nice.
I learned alot about myself today and I'm going to learn how to eat less. Food is fuel for the machine that is your body... I've got to learn that. If you think of it as anything else, or use it for anything else (ie: celebrate, comfort, etc.) then you have a problem. Yes, I have a problem!!
Thank god for my art, that's all I gotta say!
Well I'm off for today, I'll catch up with ya'll tomorrow!
later gaters,

Hectic Crazy Day ahead
I've got a busy day ahead of me, I'm off to see my personal body consultant today. What is that? Well she is a little of everything, she's a personal trainer, nutritionist and hypnotherapist. So she has to be able to help me with something!! We had a 30 minute 'meet and chat' the other day and in that short time she really was able to find some emotional triggers for my eating that I was never concious of before. I felt like a weight had been lifted from me, and it helped me throughout the week. Anyway I'm really looking forward to seeing her again today.
After that, I'm taking Paige back over to my friends place for a painting session. Hopefully the kids will play *nice* today. Thank goodness my friend understands kids and has patience to go along with it. Here's one of my latest creations:

Let me know what you think of the patterns in the back ground.. it's experimental. I like it.
Anyway I need to go and get ready for the day...
catch up with ya'll later.

:D
Surprise, surprise!
So, now I'm a juried artist & and I didn't even have to get out of my PJ's to accomplish it! LOL the internet is a wonderful thing, don't you agree?
:D
I finished two more fairies today... I'll have them up for sale tomorrow at Noon. That feels good too.
I wish I could be this passionate about housework sometimes. No really, maybe I'll get passionate about hiring someone to do my housework. hmmmm
Anyway- I'll leave you with that thought,
Till tomorrow...

A day of firsts

Since this is my first blog, everything I do on it today will be a first! I'm posting a picture of one of my latest paintings. I'm really excited about this little series of fairies because they are so fun to paint and they look so dang cute! This one looks like Pamela Anderson but the resemblence was purely unintentional. They really take on a personality of their own as I paint them. If you like this little chickie she's currently available on ebay (see 'buy my art' link above), and rather cheaply too I might add! Since the series has just started I imagine it will take my ebay followers a little while to catch the 'fairy fever'. Anyway I'm very tired today and still a little sick but I'm hopeing I snap out of it soon!!
